The Sunshine Farm in Brixworth is a petting farm that opened in the Spring of 2021. It is only open as a petting farm on Saturdays as during the week it is a life skills centre for adults with learning disabilities.
We pre-booked our tickets online, they were £3.50 per person. There was the choice of morning or afternoon session.
When we arrived at the farm we were given the option to buy a bucket of animal feed for £2. Within this bucket was about 5 different tubs of food, each for different animals. They were labelled with a picture so we knew which food was for which animal.
The first animal we came to was a couple of horses. From here, we followed a path that lead us to each of the other animals. We were able to feed some sheep, goats, chickens, ducks and peacocks
Once we had made our way through the animals, we came to an open grass area. Here there were games set up such as giant skittles, table tennis, giant snakes and ladders and those balls that you bounce on (I’ve no idea what they are called!). ?
There was also a small play area and a seating area where you could order hot food and drinks.

All up, we were probably at the farm for around an hour. It was a nice way to spend a morning and for the kids to see some animals.
The address for The Sunshine Farm is Holcot Road, Brixworth, NN6 9BN
