Hudson and I had a couple of hours to kill the other afternoon so we went and explored Rectory Farm Pocket park as I had heard it was a nice place for Mums and small children/babies to walk.
I thought my Sat Nav was taking me to the wrong place at first as we were deep within a housing estate but then I saw a path appear between a couple of houses and figured it would lead to the park.
We used the postcode NN3 5JU and parked on Healey Close however there were lots of entrances to the park from other streets. See map at bottom of this post.
The path we took led us straight down to a large grass area and straight ahead of us was a beautiful duck pond.
We went round to the left and saw a small bridge that led into a wooded area. There was a path through the trees so you could take a pram down there but I imagine it would get really muddy through the wet months.
Hudson loved exploring the trees and the small stream that was running through them.
It was just a short walk and then we came across another bridge that bought us out the other end of the duck pond.

We headed back up to the tarmacked path and followed this until we got to the big bridge at another entrance to the pocket park.
We were at Rectory Farm Pocket Park for around 30 -45 minutes. If we go again we might take a picnic as there was plenty of space to do so. We would also take some food for the ducks.
